About

A dialogue between body and sculpture.

Zelleznik approaches fashion through sculptural construction and material experimentation, exploring the relationship between body, structure, and movement. Rooted in inherited traditions of making and repair, the work combines manipulated textiles, hand-crafted surfaces, and dynamic forms to blur the boundary between garment and sculpture.

SFINGA.

Zelleznik approaches design through processes of sculpting and building around the body. Her creations are shaped by the logic of concrete as a made material, formed through mould and reinforcement, an ordinary process, yet one that requires extreme precision and craftsmanship. Raised in a family where making, repairing, and building from scratch were treated as ordinary skills, her collection reflects on an inherited legacy of self-sufficiency. Where does a garment end and a sculpture begin? The body is not centered, but treated as a site of support, present, yet visually muted, allowing the garment to move and appear alive. Her work explores the relationship between human-made and non-human forms, from concrete to stone, introducing an organic layer that contrasts with constructed processes. Zelleznik's visual language is further developed through textile manipulation, including hand painting and stitching, waxing, and engraving. While the forms appear heavy, the materials mostly remain light, creating a contrast between weight and softness, structure and fluidity.
