About Collection
SFINGA.
The collection SFINGA. is shaped by the logic of concrete as a made material, formed through mould and reinforcement: a process that requires precision and craftsmanship. Raised in a family where making, repairing and building from scratch were treated as ordinary skills, the collection reflects on an inherited legacy of self-sufficiency. Building becomes a way of approaching form. From concrete to stone. A dialogue between body and sculpture. The body acts as a site of support, allowing the garment to exist independently. Forms begin as self-made sculptures and are further developed through paper sculpting before being translated into garments. Couture techniques and textile manipulation, including hand painting, salting, waxing and engraving, are used in service of form. Stitching defines structure and sharpness. The garments are built following the logic of material flow and construction. While the forms appear heavy, the materials remain mostly light.
